iPad 4 DIY repair gone wrong! This iPad 4 was purchased by our customer on Ebay. It was advertised as having been professionally refurbished. It was brought into our shop because the screen was falling off and the WIFI was very weak and cut in and out.
After opening it up we quickly discovered why the screen was falling off – whoever replaced the screen tried to adhere it with a glue gun. That is the wrong type of adhesive to use with glass and aluminum and not surprisingly it didn’t stand the test of time.
The WIFI antenna had also been damaged during the original repair causing the signal to drop fairly often.
We replaced the WIFI and adhered the screen with the proper adhesive for the job. #FixedRight #yyj #VictoriaBC #local
